TITLE:	Approve and Accept Bequest to Lee County Domestic Animal Services

I.	MOTION REQUESTED
	A) Approve and accept by resolution the bequest of $101,170.86 and any further bequests from the Estate of Ann Louise Verdon. B) Approve budget amendment resolution to accept as unanticipated revenue and designate expenditures. C) Authorize Lee County’s Chief Financial Officer Peter Winton’s signature of the Receipt and Release form.

	Approves acceptance of a bequest in the amount of $101,170.86 from the Estate of Ann Louise Verdon for the care and maintenance of animals entrusted to Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

		On November 11, 2008 Ann Louise Verdon executed her Will. On June 27, 2022, Ann Louise Verdon executed The First Amendment to the Verdon Revocable Trust of Ann Louise Verdon, dated November 11, 2008 which devised a portion of her estate to Lee County Domestic Animal Services of Ft. Myers. Ann Louise Verdon passed away on December 17, 2023, and the Personal Representative has begun the process of administration of the estate pursuant to its provisions.
