| | | | | | | | | I. | MOTION REQUESTED | | | A) Approve piggyback PB210226NAT- 240481 purchase from Piggyback No. PB210226NAT to utilize pricing on the Omnia Partners Contract No. R200401 for HVAC Equipment, Installation, Services, and Related Products with Daikin Applied Americas, Inc., for the installation of two chillers at JetBlue Stadium in the amount of $222,770.00.
B) Authorize the County Manager or Designee to approve any associated contract documents on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.

| | | | | | | | | II. | ITEM SUMMARY | | | Approves a piggyback purchase order with Daikin Applied Americas, Inc., to install two chillers at JetBlue Stadium in the amount of $222,770.00.
The existing chillers were installed in 2011, approximately twelve years ago. The coils for both chillers are corroded and must be replaced to avoid failure. The purchase of the new equipment will come with a ten-year manufacturer’s warranty.
This planned and budgeted project will be funded though the Tourist Development Tax funding. |

| | | | | | | | | | A) | Board Action and Other History | | | | On September 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved the piggyback PB210226NAT to utilize pricing on the Omnia Partners/Region 4 ESC contract R200401 with Daikin Applied Americas, Inc. for HVAC Equipment, Installation, Services, and Related Products, with all purchases made over $100,000 must be brought before the board for approval.
On September 19, 2023, the Board approved the purchase of two (2) roof top HVAC units to be manufactured at a cost of $338,198.00.

| | | | | | | | | | D) | Analysis | | | | The existing chillers were installed in 2011, approximately twelve (12) years ago. The coils for both chillers are corroded and must be replaced to avoid failure. The purchase of the new equipment came with a ten-year manufacturer’s warranty. |

| | | | | | | | | | E) | Options | | | | Approve – The risk of low productivity as well as extensive maintenance costs for the chillers will be eliminated for several years. The installation will contribute to a ten-year manufacturer’s warranty that will include labor, parts, and refrigerant.
Decline – Costly repairs and troubleshooting of the chillers will continue, while decreasing efficiency and developing potential failures or major issues. |
