TITLE:Approve Expenditure of Fees Collected by Lee County Sheriff's Office 
I.MOTION REQUESTED
 

A.) Approve FY22-23 expenditures of $181,052.70 of revenues collected from various fees and services by the Sheriff’s Office during the period of 09/01/2023 through 09/30/2023.

B.) Approve transfers within budget line items within the Sheriff’s Office allocation.

II.ITEM SUMMARY
 Approves FY22-23 expenditure of $181,052.70 of revenues collected from various fees and services by the Sheriff’s Office during the period of 09/01/2023 through 09/30/2023. Also, approve transfers within budget line items within the Sheriff’s Office allocation. The proceeds are used to offset expenses for false alarms and overtime associated with background checks and fingerprinting services, vehicle repairs, equipment purchases and fuel.

Auditors requested that expenditures resulting from revenues collected by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office be approved by the Board.

 

  The above revenues are for:

  Law Enforcement Expense   (521)               $95,558.06

  Corrections Expense             (523)               $85,494.64

  Total                                                            $181,052.70

 

 

Expenditures are for:

Lee County False Alarm Ordinance to offset costs (521) for false alarms and overtime associated with FSS199 background checks and fingerprinting services. Expense category (521) to cover costs associated with Fleet Services to include vehicle repairs, equipment purchases and fuel. Correction categories (523) are to offset costs associated with overall expenses.
