TITLE:Accept Donation of Land on Fort Myers Beach for Traffic & Roadway Improvements 
I.MOTION REQUESTED
 

A) Accept donation from Town of Fort Myers Beach property located at 1054 Fifth Street;

B) Authorize the Chair on behalf of the Board to accept a Quitclaim Deed from the Town; and

C) Authorize County Lands to handle and accept all documentation necessary to complete the transaction.

II.ITEM SUMMARY
 Accepts by quitclaim deed the donation of +/- 3,006 sq. ft. of land, located at 1054 Fifth Street, Fort Myers Beach, from Town of Fort Myers Beach. The land will be used for proposed traffic and roadway improvements at the base of the Matanzas Pass Bridge

  Town of Fort Myers Beach owns the lot at 1054 Fifth Street in Fort Myers Beach. The Town transferred the property via a Quitclaim Deed for the proposed traffic and roadway improvements at the base of the Matanzas Pass Bridge. To simplify the agreement with Florida Department of Transportation, Lee Department of Transportation agreed to accept the transfer and include the needed area in the memorandum of agreement with the State. Once complete, a small portion of the lot will remain. It is immediately adjacent to other property owned by Lee County.
