| | | | | | | | | I. | MOTION REQUESTED | | | A) Approve Easement Agreement to Centurylink of Florida, Inc., a Florida corporation, for the combined easement area of +/- 16,133 square feet for the Public Safety Communications Building Site Renovation Project and the Emergency Operations Center, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Agreement;
B) Authorize the Chair on behalf of the Board to execute the Easement Agreement;
C) Authorize payment of necessary recording fees and costs, estimated at $100, to complete the transaction; and
D) Authorize County Lands to handle and accept all documentation necessary to complete the transaction. |

| | | | | | | | | II. | ITEM SUMMARY | | | Conveys a +/- 16,133 square feet public utility easement to Centurylink of Florida, Inc. to service and maintain the communication system for the Public Safety Communications Building Site Renovation Project and the Emergency Operations Center. The land is owned by the City of Fort Myers and leased to Lee County. The City of Fort Myers has approved and executed this utility easement. |

| | | | | | | | | | D) | Analysis | | | | Currently there is no utility easement for the existing Centurylink/Lumens infrastructure which was installed several years ago. This easement will accommodate Centurylink/Lumen’s infrastructure to service both the Public Safety Communications Building Renovation and the existing Emergency Operations Center.
The property is owned by the City of Fort Myers and leased to Lee County. The City of Fort Myers has approved and executed this utility easement to accommodate the communication systems for these facilities. |
