| | | | | | | | | III. | BACKGROUND AND IMPLICATIONS OF ACTION |

| | | | | | | | | | A) | Board Action and Other History | | | | WCIND is a taxing district that includes Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Lee Counties. As such, they have the responsibility to maintain the State’s waterways. Part of that responsibility is to ensure local public waterways are safe and maintained. This project includes contractual services, materials, and equipment necessary for aids to navigation, markers, dredging, removal of hazards, information regarding navigation issues, and other activities directly related to public navigation routes, accesses, and destinations. In order to do that, WCIND needs authority to create the project from Lee County’s dedicated funds. |
