TITLE:Award Contract for Countywide Sidewalk Repair Project 
I.MOTION REQUESTED
 A) Award Invitation to Bid No. B220294DWJ, Countywide Sidewalk Repair Project, to Scott Commercial Contracting LLC for the repair and replacement of countywide sidewalks, in the amount of $936,610.00.
B) Authorize the Chair to execute the contract documents on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
II.ITEM SUMMARY
 Awards a contract to Scott Commercial Contracting, LLC. to repair and replace damaged sidewalks countywide in the amount of $936,610.00. The repairs include sidewalks along portions of Bonita Beach Road, Corkscrew Road and Winkler Road. Funding is available in the Major Maintenance Program and work is expected to begin in October 2022.
III.BACKGROUND AND IMPLICATIONS OF ACTION
 A)Board Action and Other History
  Awards contract to Scott Commercial Contracting, LLC. to repair and replace damaged sidewalks countywide in the amount of $936,610.00. Scott Commercial Contracting, LLC was determined to be the most responsible bidder with the lowest responsive bid of five (5) proposals received. The repair and replacement of the countywide sidewalks was planned and will be budgeted through the Department of Transportation’s major maintenance program.

The project includes repairs the following segments of roads;
• Bonita Beach Road on the North and South side from Alessandria Circle to Hunters Ridge Blvd
• Bonita Beach Road on the North and South side from Crest Exchange Ln to Kings Kew
• Corkscrew Road on the South side from Tamiami Trial to Corkscrew Woodland Blvd
• Winkler Rd on the East and West side from Cypress Lake Drive to Summerlin Road
