| | | | | | | | I. | MOTION REQUESTED | | A) Approve County Project Authorization No. 12 to Contract No. 8170 with EarthBalance Corporation under Solicitation No. RFP180418JJB, Annual Environmental Maintenance Contract (Exotic Plant Control), to perform exotic plant treatment on 882 acres of natural area within Wild Turkey Stand Preserve in the amount of $233,730.00.
B) Authorize the County Manager or designee to approve the County Project Authorization on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. |

| | | | | | | | II. | ITEM SUMMARY | | Approves a County Project Authorization (CPA) for EarthBalance Corporation to perform exotic plant treatment on 882 acres of natural area within Wild Turkey Stand Preserve in the amount of $233,730.00. This project allows for a one time treatment targeting and eliminating invasive species such as melaleuca, brazilian pepper, guinea grass and caesar weed. Funding is included in the budget. |

| | | | | | | | | A) | Board Action and Other History | | | On November 16, 2018, the Board approved award of Solicitation No. RFP180418JJB for Environmental Maintenance Contract (Exotic Plant Control), to EarthBalance Corporation and ten other vendors. The contract provides for exotic plant control, native plant installation for restoration, and habitat restoration. As provided by the Solicitation, individual projects may be authorized via County Project Authorizations to any of the firms approved by the Board. Projects in excess of $100,000.00 shall be presented to the Board for approval. This project is accordance with the Land Management Plan approved by the Board on 8/10/2010. |
