A) Award Invitation to Bid No. B190518JJB, Sunset Cove Channel Dredge, to Arbor Tree and Land, Inc. for the maintenance dredging of a navigational channel in the Caloosahatchee River between Travers Ave. and Bayside Dr. in Fort Myers and providing additional channel markers to aid in navigation, in an amount not to exceed $369,445.00.

B) Authorize the Chair to execute the contract documents on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.

The Sunset Cove Channel Dredge Municipal Service Benefit Unit was created by resolution 18-04-06 on April 03, 2018, with the purpose of performing maintenance of the channel leading into the Caloosahatchee River from between Travers Ave and Bayside Dr, northeast of McGregor Blvd in Fort Myers.

Procurement Management obtained bids for the project known as Invitation to Bid No. B190518JJB, Sunset Cove Channel Dredge. On the bid deadline of September 23, 2019, Procurement Management received 3 submittals. After conducting an analysis of the bid submissions, Arbor Tree and Land, Inc. was determined to be the responsible bidder with the lowest responsive bid. Aim Engineering & Surveying, Inc., the Engineer of Record for the project, also reviewed the submitted bids and provided recommendation to move forward with award to Arbor Tree and Land, Inc. County staff is in agreement and recommends awarding a contract to Arbor Tree and Land, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $369,445.00.
