In 2013, Alta Resources Corporation established a site in Lee County. The company has been in business for over 20 years providing leading customer management and business process outsourcing services.  The Company offerings include customer care, sales, fulfillment, e-Commerce, and back office services.  Alta has approximately 4100 employees worldwide and more than 500 full-time employees at its Lee County facility.

Alta Resources plans to expand its business process outsourcing services with a focus on healthcare services. The overall project is projected to include 485 full-time jobs and 315 part-time jobs.  Alta Resources has been considering Albuquerque, NM, Augusta, GA, and Myrtle Beach, SC for the project.

This incentive award will specifically secure a commitment from Alta Resources to create 65 new jobs that pay an average annual wage equaling 115% of the current Lee County average with an average wage of $45,923 over four (4) years (2019-2023). In addition, the Industrial Development Authority has also approved a Not-to-Exceed $250,000 incentive award for creation of up to 500 full-time jobs.

The Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund incentive consists of:

State = $156,000 (QTI)

County = $39,000 (QTI)

Total = $195,000

The QTI incentive is dispersed on a per job basis as new hires come online and ALTA RESOURCES pays any taxes that are due. These tax refund payments will be processed following verification of performance requirements by Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity.

Alta Resources intents to construct and equip a 90,000 square foot, Class A office building at Southwest Florida International Airport’s Skyplex non-aviation site (near the new Gartner campus).
