TITLE:Approve Lease Agreement with Florida Department of Education to Provide Vending Services 
I.MOTION REQUESTED
 

  1. Approve a Lease Agreement between the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Business Enterprise and Lee County for approximately 245 square feet of space on the second floor of the Justice Center. This lease is for space to provide for a micro market and vending service operation. The annual lease rate is $1.00.

  2. Authorize Chair to execute the Lease Agreement on behalf of the Board.

  3. Authorize County Lands to make or accept any minor changes to the lease agreement.

II.ITEM SUMMARY
 

Provides space on the second floor of the Justice Center for the provision of food and beverage vending services to accommodate jurors. The Florida Department of Education's Bureau of Business Enterprise will subcontract with a qualified vendor to provide the service. The lease provides approximately 245 square feet of floor space for $1/year over five years.

The Lease Agreement between Lee County and the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Business Enterprise is for the use of approximately 245 square feet on the second floor of the Justice Center for a micro market and vending service operation. The micro market and vending service will provide for the sale of beverages and food to the jury pool, visitors and employees of the Justice Center, a controlled access building. The annual lease rate is $1.00.

 

The term of this Lease Agreement is for five years.  The Lease Agreement can be terminated by either party with no less than thirty (30) days prior written notice.
