TITLE:Accept Annual FDOT Grant Agreement for Transit Operating Funds 

I.MOTION REQUESTED
 

A) Authorize the execution of a Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) for the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Public Transit Block Grant.

 

B) Authorize the execution of the Transit Corridor Grant Standard Lobbying Certification Form.

 

C) Accept FY 2018/2019 FDOT Public Transit Block Grant funds in the amount of $2,004,579 for operating assistance and provide a local match of the equal amount.

 

D) Adopt the authorizing resolution necessary for the grant requirements.

 

E) Authorize the Transit Director to execute the necessary documents for grant modifications under this Agreement.

II.ITEM SUMMARY
 

Authorize the execution of a Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) and authorizing Resolution with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the State's Public Transit Block Grant Funding. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) provides annual operating assistance to the transit agencies through the state’s Public Transit Block Grant Program. This year’s grant amount is $2,004,579 with 50% local match requirement. Local match amount is budgeted in the current Transit operating budget.

  Authorize the execution of a Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) and authorizing Resolution with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the State's Public Transit Block Grant Funding. Accept FY 18/19 Public Transit Grant amount is $2,004,579 which requires a local match of the equal amount. Local match amount is planned and budgeted in the FY 18/19 Transit Operating Budget. The term to spend the funds is from January 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020.
